So, when I was a kid, all we had to splash around with on a hot summer day was a Slip 'n' Slide. And I didn't even have one of those--the neighbor kids did. All I had was the sprinkler. Man, was I ever a deprived kid. Look at what younguns can cool off and entertain themselves with today:
The Backyard Inflatable Water Park.

"Rising 10 1/2' into the air, this is the backyard inflatable water park with a tunnel slide that passes beneath a larger traditional slide, both of which are constantly irrigated by built-in sprinklers and have splash pools at the end of each, making it ideal for summer fun."
Ten and a half feet tall? Gee, that old Slip n Slide seems more and more inadequate...
Of course, the water park is $500, compared to $20 for a Slip n Slide
. But on the flip side, if you get one of these big boys, you'll have all the neighborhood kids hanging out at your house (I'll leave it for you to decide if that's good or bad).

Removable wall stickers and wall decals aren't anything new, and we've looked at a couple before (for example, the removable branch-shaped wall stickers for the nature-lover, bird-shaped peel-and-stick wall graphics for the animal-lover, and on another site a fire-hydrant wall decal for the pet lover who wants to decorate Fido's part of the house). Now you can play games on the wall as well.
Dominoes to be exact.
This 39-piece set of removable 3" x 1.5" domino wall stickers probably isn't something you want to apply in the living room, but the fully functional game could be a hit in child's bedroom or a playroom. No need to clean off tables or floors to start a game; just find a bit of wall space.
The only downside is that with wall stickers you can't make those fabulous falling dominoes patterns that take hours to set up and five seconds to knock down. (Does anyone still do that anymore?)
You can order the tiles in any color, and you'll get a set of game instructions as well.

There are lots of fun ways to decorate a child's bedroom with things he or she will love, and some of those ways can be practical too. Kids need to see after all, so why not add a bit of lighting while adding furnishings that let your kids express their interests?
For instance, if you've got a Little League fan, your child may enjoy these baseball shaped lights. (You can also get strands of lights featuring footballs, soccer balls, and other sports-related fixtures.)
Each strand is 7 feet long and includes 10 baseballs (lights). Less than $20 through Amazon:

Here's a fun way to personalize your children's rooms and add a bit of storage at the same time.
The wall-mounted word shelves can be custom made with your children's names and in their favorite colors.
"Children's name shelves and Word Shelves hang on the wall. Place photos, knick knacks, books, and craft supplies on the letters of your child's name or a fun word! Each letter measures 7" tall, 5.5" wide, 3.5" deep."
By LoveShelf on Etsy with prices running about $10 a letter.

There just aren't enough chairs out there shaped like animals, are there?
You may not need a giraffe in your living room, but this chair could be fun in a children's bedroom or playroom. And if giraffes aren't your favorite zoo creatures, you can choose from other animals as well. The chairs are custom made when you order.
They're eco-friendly too, since they're made from 100% recycled materials and coated with a water-based varnish.
