Battery-Powered Lawn Mower Means No Worrying About Gas

battery-powered-lawn-mower.jpgWith the price of gas these days, you might wince at pouring this precious commodity into your lawn mower. Perhaps it's time to invest in something a little more eco-friendly that doesn't require gas at all.

The Neuton battery-powered lawn mower simply runs on a rechargeable battery. It's an alternative to "loud, gas-guzzling machines that are difficult to start. It runs on a rechargeable battery, and in place of a pull-cord, this mower starts by turning a safety knob and squeezing the handlebar. When the handlebar is released, the blade stops spinning. The Neuton Mower produces no CO2 emissions, and the 24-volt battery gives you enough juice to mow for 45 to 60 minutes, or approximately a third of an acre per charge."

(Those of you with big lots will just have to wait until the uber battery-powered riding mower comes out.)

$479 from DWR
