Snap-together Bamboo Deck Tiles
There are many DIY options for turning a bland patio or bare concrete rooftop into a handsome deck area that you'll enjoy entertaining on. In the past we've looked at outdoor recycled rubber floor tiles, click-together hardwood deck tiles (suitable for indoors or out), and carpet tiles perfect for outdoor rugs.
Today take a peek at these snap-together bamboo deck tiles that are designed to float on top of your patio.
Many consider bamboo more eco-friendly than hardwoods, since it's actually a fast-growing grass that can reach maturity in a few years, yet it has a similar look and durability to wood.
Other benefits of the bamboo deck tiles include their suitability for indoors or outdoor uses (in addition to patios, you could use them on basement floors, balconies, porches, walkways, or around swimming pools and hot tubs), their interlocking grid backing (which should make them easy for a do-it-yourself type to install--there are no nails or glue required), and that there are slats to allow water to flow through instead of pooling (with plastic "feet" to slightly elevate the tiles for air circulation).
