Recycled Bio-Glass Countertops

oriental-jade-bio-glass.jpgWant to buck the granite trends and go with something brighter and earth-friendly for your bathroom countertops?

The Oriental Jade "Bio Glass" shown here is made from 100% recycled molded glass shards. It can be used for wall coverings, interior flooring, and countertops. According to the company, one slab of Bio Glass saves one cubic yard of landfill and reduces 35 pounds of CO2 emissions.

While this color might be a little bright for the kitchen, the hue is reminiscent of water and could be perfect in the bathroom. There are also other colors in the line, which you'll want to check out if you like the idea of designing with recycled glass.
