Decorative Door Glass Adds Wow to Your Front Door
If you're remodeling your home or giving the exterior of your house a face lift, one place to add curb appeal is the front door. Sure, any old front door will get the job done, but if you want an impressive exterior, decorative glass inserts can really add drama.
The decorative door, side, and top glass panels shown here were designed by ODL. You can get clear or privacy glass, and there are lots of designs to choose from (or come up with something custom). If you've already got the door hardware of your dreams picked out (hey, I'm sure there are some people out there who dream of door hardware), you can get the caning customized so everything matches.
One thing to consider when you add glass around a door is home security. Either get glass that is shatter-proof or consider a good alarm system, so you'll know if someone tries to break the glass to unlock the door (a double-cylinder deadbolt can also prevent unauthorized entry).
