Kitchen Cabinets Made from Reclaimed Wood

kitchen-cabinets-from-reclaimed-wood.jpgIf you're into green remodeling, you may like the idea of using reclaimed or recycled materials in your home. The custom kitchen cabinets shown here are made from reclaimed 19th-century barn wood. They have all the nail holes, scratches, and dings that come from being more than 100 years old.

Cabinets, floors, or furniture made from reclaimed wood may not be for you if you prefer the pristine and untouched look, but if the idea of older wood with character suits your fancy, then it's something you can check into. These cabinets were made by Country Road Associates. "Your choice of Barnwood contains a myriad of colors so you have the freedom of personally designing your very own kitchen. In addition, when creating your very own kitchen, your dreams have come true with the very best of 200 year old barnwood that lasts a lifetime."

I think the reclaimed wood cabinets are very beautiful. I love that they have nail holes, scratches and dings, it definitely shows more character. Green remodeling is definitely the way to go nowadays. So many ideas, so little time! For some more great ideas on home decorating you should definitely check out Design Star on HGTV. The designers are so creative and I love to see what they can come up with. You can check out the show at: www.hgtv.com/designstar. There are only 2 finalists left and for this last challenge they will be heading to Hawaii! It airs Sunday, Sept. 9th @ 9pm, don’t miss it! Also, don’t forget to vote for your favorite designer after the show to determine who gets their own show on HGTV. I work w/them so just wanted to give u the inside scoop! Who are you going to vote for?
