Bookcase with Built-in Cave Reading Nook

cave-bookshelf-reading-nook.jpgThis is just the bookcase I would have loved as a kid (okay, I'd even be tempted to try it out now). It's called the "Cave" for obvious reasons, when you look at the picture.

Offered by Sakura Adachi, it comes in both an adult and child-sized version. There are shelves on either side, so the bookcase offers plenty of storage, and it can be used as a room divider as well. The seat height is just above the floor, which is supposed to give "a feeling of hiding from others standing around it." So if you like your privacy while you read, and you can use some more shelves for your favorite books, check it out.

Is it just me or does this seem weird. I don't know. I guess maybe it is just new. It may work in a library.
