The Custom Wine Cellar of Your Dreams
A wine cellar isn't a must for everyone, but if you're building your dream home and you're a wine connoissuer, then this may be on your list. There are many companies that can build custom cellars that incorporate climate control, as many racks as you want, and even tasting rooms for sipping your favorite vintage (while eyeballing the rest of your second favorite vintages).
The company that built the wine cellar pictured here is Cuvee Storage Systems. They promise to use quality materials, create sculpted edges (so there are no harsh 90 degree angles), and give full bottle depth of stable support on all racks. Speciality materials and details are available such as stained glass, murals, water features, wood carvings, and glass and wood etching.

There is nothing wrong with 90ยบ angles when that is what the designer wants to do. If you want curves, then they should be real curves with live laminated trim so that they can flex and move with the wine in earthquakes, rather than falling apart under pressure.
Rack system design must be driven by structural and climate control considerations first, and everything else comes later.
Wine cellars can be far more than just places to store wine and most serious collectors understand this.
