Bamboo Flooring in Living Areas

living-room-bamboo-flooring.jpgBamboo floors are becoming increasingly popular because they offer the same attractive warmth of hardwood while being more eco-friendly (bamboo flooring is considered an easily renewable resource because it comes from bamboo, which is a grass that grows to maturity in a few years, as opposed to trees, which take decades to grow).

What rooms is bamboo best in? Generally, you can apply the same rules with it as you do with hardwoods. Try bamboo flooring in living areas, bedrooms, and hallways. It can be used in the kitchen or bathroom (if well sealed), but is not generally recommended in areas that are likely to see dampness on a regular basis. Though bamboo flooring is growing in popularity, it can be hard to find a wide selection at your local home improvement store. For more variety (and often for better deals), you can buy bamboo flooring online.
