Technology Meets BBQ Fork--"Deluxe Cooking Fork"
Tending your burgers with a plain old set of grill tongs is so 20th century. This cooking fork has an LCD screen, which displays the "doneness level" of your meat and the exact temperature. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me, since I'm terrified of getting salmonella (or whatever the latest thing is we can catch from our undercooked food). The gauge means no more slicing open the middle of that chicken breast to see if it's done. The barbecue fork has pre-set cooking levels, or you can program in your own temperature settings. Made from FDA-grade plastics and stainless steel, the fork takes 1 AA battery (sold separately, of course). The price is $38.99 from A Trendy Home.
