Remote Control Laundry?
Technology is everywhere in the house these days, and the laundry room is no exception. LG Electronics will soon be offering their Remote Laundry Monitoring System ($1349 for washer, $949 for dryer, $99 for the remote) which is designed to let homeowners monitor their laundry cycle from anywhere in the home using a remote device. You can check the cycle status of the washer and dryer and look at the remaining time. A buzzer on the remote lets you know when each cycle is finished. The system communicates using Power Line Communication (PLC) technology over standard electrical wiring.
