Maytag Bravos Gas Steam Dryer Tells You When Clothes Are Done

Lindsay ~ 25 June 2010

My dryer has a buzzer that lets me know it’s done whirling and churning, but it doesn’t actually tell me if my clothes are done. You’re probably in the same boat. You have to just stick your hand in there and feel around to see if things are still damp.

The Maytag Bravos dryer has an IntelliDry sensor that’s supposed to take the guesswork out of the laundry room. A digital countdown lets you know just how many minutes are left.

Other features include the ability to steam dry to reduce wrinkles, a custom refresh to remove odors from dry clothing, and an interior light (hey, it’s important to see what your clothes are doing in there).

The Maytag dryer costs about $1,000.
