$7,000 “Gentle Wave” Lounge Chair
Got an extra $7,000 lying around (who doesn’t?) and the need to add a piece of therapeutic furniture to your collection? Perhaps the Gentle Wave Lounge is in your future.
“This chair’s rocking motion simulates the feeling of floating in a lake, gently undulating and pitching across three axes to relieve your stress and encourage optimal relaxation. The lounge methodically rocks you side to side and back and forth. Its reclined design places your feet above your heart–a supine posture identified by NASA as being the least stressful for astronauts–to relieve back strain and facilitate oxygen and blood flow.”
Hey, if NASA had input, it must be good, right? And, in case you’re wondering, yes, the chair offers a massage, too, thanks to its integrated 50-watt transducers (sounds kind of science-fiction-y to me, but what do I know?)
More chair goodness: “The backrest, seat, and leg rest are filled with memory foam that conforms to your body’s contours and weight distribution, relieving pressure points and providing therapeutic support. The intensity and duration of the massage and rocking adjust using the handheld controller.”
At the very least, it sounds like it’d be fun to play with!
