French Balcony Gate Has Limitless Options
Ironwork has been used to enhance home interiors and exteriors since the medieval period, and it’s continued to be used today. In France, wrought iron was fashionable from 1650 and on, especially with respect to balconies, stair railing and gateways. So if you want to add a little French influence to your home, consider adding ironwork.
This French Balcony Gate can be used as your starting point. Although it’s meant to be a balcony gate, you can have a skilled ironsmith turn it into almost anything you want. You can transform it into a headboard, side tables, pot racks, coffee tables, etc.
This gate measures 39.5” H and 23.625” W, and it has an interesting design featured in the center. You might even be able to turn it into a window enhancement. Often you see dark or natural wrought iron, but the white finish would be more unique.
