Designer Concrete Privacy Fence Offers “Mountain View”
Lindsay ~ 7 February 2010
As they say, privacy fences make for good neighbors. Plenty of materials can be used to divide your yard from your neighbor’s, and we’ve looked at quite a few: vinyl, straw bale, and bamboo. But how about concrete?
You might think concrete would make for an ugly residential fence (though maybe a good traffic noise barrier), but artists that specialize in working with this flexible material can make some pretty cool things.
This concrete fence, with its mountain range backdrop, was made by Seattle-based Artisan Finishes. Not only is it an effective privacy barrier, but it looks like it belongs with the area’s nearby Cascade Mountains.

Wow! This is a very good privacy fence.
The design is very unique, intricate and artistically made indeed.
The designer did a very good job in mixing and matching his materials.
It not only looks good and eye-catching, it also does not defeat its purpose of blocking the noise that the streets have.
A really good idea for homes with wide lots and a good background view.
It may even add a view or distract from what is behind your home.
