Vintage Victorian Birdcage

Vintage accessories around your home can bring inspiration and playfulness to any room. If you love the Victorian era, why not incorporate a gorgeous vintage Victorian birdcage into your living room or bedroom?

Mecox Gardens has a large wooden birdcage from the 1960s, which can add some appeal to any corner, fireplace or ledge. This particular birdcage has a spring loaded rear door and a small handle to open the front door. Its dimensions are 27”L x 13”D x 32”H, so it’s possible to keep a live bird in it. However, you might want to preserve the quality of the cage and use it as decoration.

What you can do is incorporate various crafts you might have handy such as fake birds, flowers, vines and ivy. You can create a realistic looking environment for a bird without the real bird. The cage would be an elegant accessory to add to a reading room.
