However if your house is already built and you don&#039;t want to go through the hassle of the cost of redoing a lot of your outlets, another easy trick that will save you lots of time and headache is to determine which of your outlets is on a switch by using a lamp or whatever else is light and easy. Then disconnect the power to that room and turn the electrical socket that is so switch upside down. It was still fit perfectly in the outlet cover. If only one of the outlets in the panel is on the switch, a half hot, you can turn it upside down and leave the other one right side up.</description>
