All in One Computer Bed

MarinaHanes ~ 25 August 2009

Are your children always complaining about  how they have to share a bedroom? Or maybe they desperately need a computer area in their room for when school goes back in session. Either way the Dartmouth Computer Bed provides two beds and a built-in computer station.

Since this bed is made from wood that is kiln-dried, you won’t have to worry about this furniture twisting, cracking or warping. Plus, the wood is treated with a multi-step lacquer finish, which is more durable around children. Its dimensions are 74” H x 45” W x 81”L. This furniture also has an eco-friendly quality, because the wood was sustainably harvested and plantation grown.

Your children can take advantage of the storage drawers for clothing as well as school supplies. The lowest bottom drawer is a pull out bed, and the second mattress would go on the top bunk. If anything, you’re kids will be fighting about who gets to sleep up top!

I would seriously reconsider what you have written about kiln-dried wood.

The reason why some many old doors and cabinets have withstood the test of time is that the wood was naturally dried and then cut. Any warping occured before any cuts were made so the finished product would stay sound.

Kiln-drying is a method that was invented to streamline the process and allow for a much greater level of timber production. This type of wood often warps, twists, and cracks after it has been milled down.
