Discourage Pets from Chewing Plants

MarinaHanes ~ 23 July 2009

Does your cat chew on your indoor plants? This constant abuse can cause plants to die quickly and also stunt their growth. Keeping a plat of cat grass is a way to discourage your pet from eating the plants you care about.

Cat grass sprouts from seeds within three days, and it’s easy to maintain. Once it sprouts, just make sure to keep it watered. You’re cat will do the rest of the work. This is a healthy snack for your felines, but some other household plants can be harmful to your pet’s health.

The grass can be transferred into a decorative pot, and it’s best to place it in a spot that your pet frequents. Encourage your cat to chew on this grass with verbal and physical praise. Before you know it, your other plants might actually have a chance to survive. Doctors, Fosters and Smith has a 3-pack of cat grass on sale for $7.99.
