Granite Countertop Color Ideas
Granite countertops remain among the most popular choices in high-end kitchen remodeling jobs. There are a number of reasons this natural stone never goes out of style.
Granite is durable, scratch resistant, bacteria resistant, and easy to keep clean. The countertops will add value to your home, and unlike counters made from other materials, they continue to look good year after year, so they won’t depreciate in value. As some have said, “it’s like jewelry for your home.”
When it comes to color, there is a wider range than you might think for a stone.
If you’re looking for granite countertop color options, take a look at some of the pictures below for ideas.

If you fancy green, you may appreciate this slab of “emerald pearl” granite from Eurasian Natural Stone.

“Black Galaxy” is a popular color, fitting perfectly into the clean lines of a modern kitchen. This slab is from Seattle Granite Countertops.

In the realm of blue, we have this “Azul Imperial Vento” from GraniteStock.

The Brown Antique and Kashmire Gold granite examples below are from New Orleans Granite.

Of course, this is a tiny sample of all the interesting colors out there. Head over to your local granite store to touch and see a lot more. And expect to pay a premium for the exotic stuff!

It is really important for you to shop around for your granite. There are many shops that perform only fabrication/installation, but do not stock slabs. Lots of fabrication shops obtain their material from slab importers. In Seattle alone there’s Daltile, Meta Marble, Pental (they also have a Fife location), Oregon Tile & Marble, Michelangelos, among many others. I would recommend getting in contact with your fabricator to see which importers they recommend.
Also if your project is relatively small, you can call your local fabricator to see if they have a remnant-yard. You could find the perfect material for your project at a more economic price. It is always best to call to see what the fabricator does in particular so you can get an accurate price-quote.
