Dewalt Cordless Jigsaw Lets You Cut Wood Like a Pro

4 March 2009

Power tools left and right are being unplugged in favor of cordless versions that have plenty of power for the job, and the Dewalt cordless jigsaw is an example.

The 7.5 pound, variable speed (to 2,200 strokes per minute) jigsaw runs on an 18-volt lithium-ion battery and got high marks in the March 2009 issue of This Old House magazine. Reviewers at Amazon seem to like it too, since it’s averaging a 5-star rating as I write this.

“The DeWalt DC330K Heavy Duty 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Top Handle Jig Saw comes with an all-metal lever-action keyless blade change for quick and easy blade changes. This saw’s all-metal keyless shoe bevel features detents at 0-, 15-, 30- and 45-degrees for versatility and easy bevel cutting. Also included is a 4-position orbital action for added control over cut quality and speed and an adjustable dust blower that keeps the line of cut clear of chips.”

If you’ve got a laundry list of home improvement projects that demand wood cutting, then maybe it’s time to upgrade your jigsaw.
