Decorative Cement Tiles for Indoor or Outdoor Flooring
Lindsay ~ 25 March 2009
Looking for something a little different in the flooring arena? These decorative cement tiles are sure to make guests take notice of your floors.
“In constructing the Pantheon (120 A.D.) Romans ground lime and volcanic rock to formulate cement durable enough to withstand the weathering of centuries. But the art of mixing cement was lost until the 18th century. Decorative cement tiles first appeared in France and Belgium at the end of the 19th century. Exquisite Surfaces offers new cement tiles and an extensive line of antique French and antique Belgian cement tiles.”
I don’t know about you, but I’d love to have a patio made out of the colorful tiles (and if I lived in a warm climate, I wouldn’t mind these for floors inside the house too).

In the traditional home magazine I read about cement tiles that can be layed over your existing patio. when I looked for the article I couldn;t find it. They said you can buy them in Indianna somewhere. It has to withstand Chicago’s winters–any Ideas?
