Water-Powered Shower Light Shows Temperature
7 February 2009
Tired of sticking your hand in the shower to determine when the water temperature is suitable? If so, grab a shower light that turns blue when the water is cold and red when it’s hot.
Similar to the faucet lights we looked at a while back, the Sylvania LED EcoLight doesn’t require any special electrical work to install. It’s only supposed to take a few minutes to attach, and it can be installed on any standard (3/4″) shower pipes.
The light is powered by the flow of water, so there are no batteries to change, and if you usually turn on a shower light in the stall, you can forgo that now and save a bit of energy while you bathe.
The Sylvania EcoLight is under $40 at Amazon:
