Not to mention from the scale of the drawing, how is the dog to get in, turn around, much less EXIT the enclosure, this looks more like some kind of flinstone garbage disposal in modern times.

I believe the overhang is large enough to keep rain from flooding in. And dogs are less oblivious to things than humans, so I’m sure they’d know if something dangerous (snake) was in there. Still, my dogs prefer the human bedroom and the human bed for sleeping, so I wouldn’t know for sure.

this isnt a good/finished idea. if something were to crawl in there (say a snake?) doggies a little trapped. Also, if it rains?? theres nothing there to keep the rain from coming in at the doorway, when it splatters on the ground…its an interesting/good idea, but needs some improvement!

This is a brilliant idea! Why was this never done before? This is so logical.Dog owners will love this item. I like the Green aspect. Using the earths insulating capabilities and using recycled materials. This is a winner!
