sorry about your dog:S to be frank this doesn't sound like the best doggie house. to hard to clean. animals could get in it and you're basically saying to the dog that they need to un-evolve by making them live half under ground. if dogs like to go underground to keep cool then it can go on the subway ;) jokes. it does sound a bit silly, i think my dog is happy with lying in a wooden nice normal dog house that isn't underground.

Most of the storms come from the West, so do not point the opening of the dog house in that direction. If rain does get into our dog house, then the top come off and gives you access to the floor for cleaning.

I bought his for my dog Butch. Right off the bat Butch loved this doghouse. He slept it in all day and night; I couldn't get him out of there, not even for snackies! He loved it during the day to get out of the heat, and even at night to stay warm when I'd lock him outside so I could masturbate without his judgmental glances. But sadly the DogEden would be Butch's downfall.... Seven days after the purchase, it was the middle of July; I let Butch out in the morning after our daily breakfast of boiled penguin eggs, and his natural instincts led him immediately to his doghouse made of recycled dog houses. Not realizing that a rattlesnake was waiting for him in the cool shade of his aptly named DogEden, Butch descended into the darkness... never to rise again.

I've entombed his body in that doghouse, creating quite a lovely eco-friendly sarcophagus . It accents my rose bushes quite nicely, where a certain someone isn't digging holes anymore. Thanks, DogEden!

I agree what if water gets in Lots of time we get a lot of rain and it just stands in the yard so it would flood the doghouse and how would you clean it out? I think it needs a lot more work

The doghouse that I have designed is not completely buried, so cleaning would not be a big deal. Only the base of our doghouse is below ground level and the top is removable. This will give the best of both worlds. Our entry way is covered and has a ramp that is slopped toward the outside so rain will not come in.

That looks more like a coffin, than a dog house. Like some sort of weird dog based iron maiden.

I would never put my dog in it!

it's all very well keeping a dogs natural instinct.does that mean the dog will need to be left to return to a natural instinct to hunt live food?or live in social packs,?what if you only have one dog?isn't it just messin the dogs mind up by letting it have access to one natural instinct and depriveing it of all the othr instincts?.
why not put a plastic kennel above ground and cover it with earth ......like people did when they made anderson bomb shelters during the war.
good luck to the inventor though.(the dog i mean).
