Scary Halloween Made Easy with 3-foot “Twitching Lighted Spider”

Lindsay ~ 20 October 2008

If you’re planning that perfect scary Halloween prank (and you’ve got $70 to spare), you can’t go wrong with a giant twitching spider.

“This spider’s eight illuminated legs span 36″ in diameter, four of which move slowly to create the simulacrum of careful, calculated movement as if stalking prey. The spider’s thorax and abdomen conceal a stealthily quiet electric motor that drives a system of levers attached to the two front and two rear legs, creating a semblance of life as the legs twitch back and forth while the abdomen slowly rises and falls. Each leg is decorated with a string of incandescent purple lights.”

No batteries required… just plug it into the nearest wall outlet, turn down the lights, and scare the pants off the first person to enter the room.
