Lighted Closet Rails Automatically Illuminate Your Clothes

22 October 2008

Big, walk-in closets usually have ceiling lights you can turn on when you get inside, but regular bedroom closets serviced by sliding doors can be a tad dark. This is especially noticeable in the winter, when it’s probably still dark when you get up.

If you’re tired of peering into your closet and wonder if that’s your black shirt or your navy blue shirt, then you may dig Hettich International’s “Lite inside” lighted closet rails.

Using LED technology, the rail automatically “turns on” when you slide open the closet door. The LED bulbs shine down to illuminate the clothing hanging from the rack. When you close the door, the lights automatically switch themselves off again.

The LED-embedded rails come in customizable lengths, and installation is supposed to be simple with no cables to run.
