Kitchen Island Made from a Reclaimed Wine Barrel
Lindsay ~ 13 October 2008
I’m not sure why, but I’m a sucker for furnishings and other household items made from reclaimed wine barrels, as evinced by a few previous posts:
- Wood flooring made from old wine barrels
- Old wine barrel turned into mini bar
- Whiskey barrels turned into garden planters (okay, not quite a wine barrel but close enough!)
Well, here’s another piece of furniture for barrel fans:
The Barrique Kitchen Island “uses the charred interior side of real wine barrel staves for a unique style. The bottom two shelves are wine barrel tops surrounded by steel wine barrel hoops. The top is a maple butcher block, perfect for carving.” There’s even a matching pot rack (also made from reclaimed barrel parts) if you want to pursue the dream of having everything in your kitchen related to wine.
