Muffin Top Pan (for Those Who Prefer the Crowns of the Muffins)

Lindsay ~ 25 September 2008

I was at a coffee shop today and noticed muffin tops for sale. Nope, not the entire muffin… just the tops.

This makes perfect sense to me, since the top is usually where the little sugar crystals, nuts, raisins, etc. are embedded, so that is naturally the tastiest part of the muffin. If you feel the same way and often find yourself nibbling the top off this baked good (and leaving the much lesser bottom chunk on the plate), then here’s a baking accessory for you:

For a less-than-$20 investment, you can be baking muffin tops in your own home:

“Have you ever eaten the top of the muffin and thrown the rest away? Muffin crowns are indeed the best part, so why not invent a pan that practically eliminates the bottoms? Far less wasteful, no more guilt, lots of yummy muffin.”
