Cuisinart Popcorn Popper Gets Modern Touches

Lindsay ~ 15 September 2008

If you’re still using that old 70s popcorn popper (that one with the ugly yellow plastic top), then maybe it’s time to upgrade to something a little more modern.

The Cuisinart popcorn popper features built-in ventilation, even heat distribution, and a motorized stirring mechanism to “create the crispest popcorn with minimal oil.” All my old popper does is poof the kernels… it’s up to you to melt and dump the butter or oil (or no-fat butter-flavored popcorn topping) on it.

With the Cuisinart, once the popping is done, the popper turns into the bowl (just flip over the top and serve), so there aren’t any extra dishes to clean afterwards. It definitely sounds like a modern upgrade to my old unit, which admittedly was swiped from the parents.
