Build a Fence Around Your House with… Wheels
We put fences around our homes for a number of reasons: to keep the dog from escaping, to the kids from escaping, to keep the neighbors from seeing us skinny dipping in the hot tub, etc. etc. etc. Most of the time, we’re thinking functionality when we put up a fence, but these property boundary markers can be an opportunity to show off our personality too.
This wheel fence surrounds a big white barn in rural Uniontown, Washington (and, yes, that’s as small as it sounds), and it took the property owner decades to build. It includes 1,000 wheels, and it–and the old dairy barn behind it–have been featured in National Geographic magazine.
A fence made of wheels may not be exactly your style–and I’m not sure it would keep my dog in the yard–but it certainly fits the rustic feel of this old barn. When you’re choosing a fence for your home, consider materials and a style that will match your personality and fit in with your home and property.
