Sustainable Lighting — Gangesdelta Cube Lamp

2 July 2008

It’s not too hard to create energy efficient lighting out of your regular lamps by just swapping in new bulbs, but if you want a lamp that was specifically designed to be green, you might check into the Gangesdelta Cube, which was inspired by nature.

The artist, David Henrichs, creates lamps that are well made and that promote energy efficiency and sustainability. “All light cubes consist of high quality components. The cubes are made out of sheets of steel that are laser cut and then folded. They contain an energy saving light bulb and acrylic diffusers.”

And beyond all that, they look pretty cool too.

Available from the European online market DaWanda, the lamp runs 350.00 EUR and is made in small batches, with each light signed and numbered by the artist.
