Hand and Footprint Tiles Put Baby’s Mark in the Kitchen

Stamping a child’s hand or footprints into a baby book or onto keepsake cards isn’t anything new, but not too many parents have thought to incorporate those prints into their kitchen backsplashes. It could be a fun way for your kid to leave his or her mark on the household though (and a lot more attractive than the usual crayon marks drawn on the walls).

This family got creative and had their baby’s hand and footprints molded into ceramic tiles, which were then an easy addition to the kitchen tiling. You could also do this with floor tiles, or wall tiles in bathrooms or other areas of the house.

The work here was done by the Ginger Tiles.

Colorful Garden Hose Perks up Yard

Have you ever noticed that just about every garden hose you see is green?

There’s probably a perfectly good reason hoses have spent decades confined to a color that blends in with the grass (making it difficult to locate said hose when said grass has grown a tad high), but for those who prefer a bit of variety in the lawn and garden arena, perhaps it’s time to add some color.

I don’t know about you, but I’d like a purple hose. There just aren’t enough purple garden tools.

Other options include yellow, orange, red, and blue. In essence, you can now get garden hoses in all colors of the rainbow (I’m hoping for polka dots in next year’s line up).
