Laminate “Stone” Tile Flooring Looks Like the Real Deal

23 June 2008

If you like the idea of stone, ceramic, or terra cotta tile flooring but have found the real deal to be on the spendy side, a less expensive alternative is laminate.

You’re probably familiar with all the laminate flooring styles out there that are made to look like wood, but in truth laminate can mimic all sorts of materials. In addition to being less expensive to real tile floors, it is sturdy and easy to keep clean and maintain (for more information, check out some of our articles: Pros & Cons of Laminate Flooring, Care and Maintenance of Laminate Floors, and Is Laminate Flooring Right for You?).

The “Solana Slate” shown here is from Alloc Flooring and does a nice job of mimicking actual stone tiles.
