Kit Lets You Make Oil Lamps from Empty Wine Bottles
Lindsay ~ 17 March 2008
You’ve just finished off a tasty vintage and all that’s left is the bottle. What do you do? Recycle it? What if it’s one of those really pretty bottles? It’s a shame to toss those, isn’t it? Well, now you can turn them into cool oil lamps.
These are certainly a step up from your everyday candles:
“When the wine is done, turn the empty bottle into magical candlelight. Simply fill the cleaned bottle with lamp oil, insert the Wine Light standard and wick, then top off with the glass flame protector to keep your “candle in the wind”. Truly, a glowing tribute to the enjoyment of wine.”
$30 gets you the makings for two lamps (two wine lights and two flame protectors) from the Wine Enthusiast.
