Stair Step Basket–Another Storage Option for the Overflowing House

If every room in your house is filled to the brim with clothes, crafts, books, knickknacks, and other treasured items that just can’t be thrown away, then the last place to store things may be on the stairs.

Now, you wouldn’t want items out in the middle of the treads where someone might trip over them, but if your stairs are wide (who needs all that room for walking up and down them anyway?), perhaps these rattan step storage baskets wouldn’t be an obtrusive addition.

Of course, the product description says the baskets are actually for placing items that you’ll carry upstairs later (the basket has handles to make it easy to tote up and down the stairs), but we all know how that goes. “Later” means when you feel like it… probably never. But in the meantime, at least your things will be stored someplace in a vaguely organized fashion.
