Portable Outdoor Projection Screen for Movies in the Backyard
12 February 2008
There may still be snow on the ground in lots of parts of the country, but I for one am ready to think summer thoughts. If you’re dreaming of the warm days ahead and wondering how to create a truly impressive outdoor entertaining space, you may dig this giant indoor/outdoor projection screen.
The “Backyard Drive-in” can be used for watching movies, playing video games, or viewing sports events. With a 13′6″ W x 9′ H viewing area, just about everything that shows up on that screen will be life-sized–or bigger.
The projection screen is portable, so you can move it from spot to spot in the yard or even take it on the road. Setup and assembly is only supposed to take a few minutes.

Coal is actually a good idea for some parts of the country where coal is cheapest. The new contemporary look of some coal burning stoves is rather nice and I’ve installed a handful of them on different home remodeling projects I’ve had. But, you mention one thing at the end almost as an afterthought and that is the maintenance. You have to clean out the coal in the stove and you have to keep the chimney clean. Other than that, you are looking at a very good heating source that will outdo electric and gas, especially with these prices today.
