Stencil Your Kitchen Cabinets

Lindsay ~ 1 November 2007

If you’re looking for decorating ideas for the kitchen, you don’t have to stick with knick knacks you can hang on the walls. You can incorporate your decorations right into the architecture itself.

Stencils, applied either to walls or cabinet doors, can be a great way to add personality to your kitchen. They can also work to brighten a bank of dark cabinets as shown in the picture here. Stenciling is a fairly inexpensive way to decorate.

You don’t have to be a painting pro either. Lots of companies sell stencil kits and paints that are appropriate for wood.

Good post. I like the cabinets. Good idea, I’ll consider these for the upcoming bathroom remodeling.

I hadn’t thought of bamboo for cabinets but I really like the look of the ones in the picture there.
