Rotating Wood Stove Takes Center Stage
Now that the weather is turning cool, it’s time to think of heating the home. Sure you can just turn up the thermostat, but if you like the idea of a crackling fire, perhaps you’ll find the idea of a modern wood stove intriguing.
Unlike most wood stoves, which are designed to be tucked into a corner or placed against a wall, the Max Blank Berlin is a modern stove that can take center stage in the room of your choice. The standard unit even rotates, so you can turn it just so for the perfect view from anywhere. Three glass shelves atop the stove even add storage space for your objets d’art.
“With the height of the Max Blank Berlin, and the ability to rotate the unit, the Berlin is ideal for loft’s, fireplace room dividers, or a middle of the room centerpiece.”

Nice, that looks like a smart idea. Not sure we have the cabinet space though. Maybe after we remodel…

The bottom-pivot hinges required for this style of cabinet door would need to be installed by a cabinet maker or a high-level trim carpenter. (It needs a jig-mounted, metric Forstner bit.)
Another little wrinkle is that you need some restraint to keep the door from just swinging down into the floor — perhaps a decorative chain?
