Patchwork Cowhide Rug Makes Unique Floor Piece

Lindsay ~ 17 October 2007

Have you ever noticed that you find all sorts of neat looking rugs when you’re not looking for them, and then when you’re actually shopping for one you can’t find a good match for your home? Maybe that’s just me (I don’t have the shopping gene).

Anyway, whether you’re looking for not, here’s a luxurious rug to check out:

Kyle Bunting’s Contemporary Patchwork Cowhide Rugs are definitely more unique than what you’re going to find at Home Depot or a department store. The “patches” remind me of bricks, but the fuzzy, almost furry, texture sure looks like it’d be a pleasure to walk on.

I’m sure the white rug shown here will pick up dirt (unless you’re one of those people who doesn’t have kids or dogs and only using the living room for company), but there are other more practical colors too, such as browns and beiges, and even a green that looks surprisingly attractive (I haven’t been wowed by green rugs in the past–we had some of that 70s green shag carpet when I was a kid and it may have tainted my perception of the color for life).

More on the contemporary rugs at Kyle Bunting.

Oh man, I have to get this for my husband for Christmas… he gets up an hour before I have to for his job and our coffee grinder wakes me up even way back in the bedroom.
