Oak Tree Sconce Brings Nature to the Hall

Lindsay ~ 10 September 2007

If you’re looking for some nature-inspired hallway lighting, this oak tree sconce could do the trick.

“The ‘Oak Tree’ Cut-out sconce, 1124 has the feel and texture of an Arts and Crafts wood block print or plein air art. The scene depicts a grove of oak trees along the shore of a lake surrounded by rolling hills. The oak trees are ‘reposed’ (hammered from the back side) to give three dimensionality to the piece.”

I don’t know about you, but I love the idea of being able to feel texture from the hammering process. The only problem with mica sconces is they’re a bit dark and don’t tend to give off a lot of light. These lights could be nice for a hallway, though, or someplace you aren’t necessarily going to need reading light.
