Newspaper Recycling Bin from Reclaimed Wood

Lindsay ~ 11 August 2007

My parents subscribe to three separate newspapers (they haven’t yet bowed to my suggestion of just reading the news online), so needless to say they have a lot of newspapers to recycle. Eventually the papers make it down to the big green recycle bin in the garage, but they spend some time in a laundry basket in the living room first (until said laundry basket is overflowing with papers and must be taken downstairs to the big bin).

It’s not a terribly attractive laundry basket (read: dollar store find), so maybe I’ll get them this bin from Viva Terra instead.

The “Barn Wood & Chalkboard Bin” is made from reclaimed wood and has a chalkboard attached, so you can write the contents on the side. (Yes, the chalk is included too.) It’s certainly a more attractive piece of furniture than a laundry basket stuck under a side table.

It’s $55 at Viva Terra.
