Kitchen Sinks Made from Antique Marble
Lindsay ~ 2 August 2007
If you’re remodeling your kitchen and you prefer an Old World feel to something brand-spanking new, you might appreciate the gravitas of a sink made from solid marble. In this case, the double-basin sink is made from antique stone quarried more than a hundred years ago (circa 1860) in Europe. It just doesn’t get much more “Old World” than that.
The sink is one of several available from Solar Antique Tiles, a company that specializes in residential furnishings and architectural pieces made from old stone and tiles. They also have some reproduction offerings, if you want the look and feel of Old World without the price of an actual antique. (The kitchen sink pictured here is $8,500.)
