Toe Kick Cabinets Hide Pet Dishes

Lindsay ~ 13 July 2007

You love your pets, but the third visitor to your kitchen in a row has just tripped over the dog dish and bumped kibble all over the floor. What do you? Get rid of the dog? No way. Hide the dog dishes.

There are all sorts of kitchen cabinets on the market these days that let you hide appliances, garbage cans, and now pet food and water dishes. The one shown here is mounted in the usually dead toe kick space under the main cupboard. When it’s time to feed Fido, simply slide out the drawer and fill his dishes. When he’s done eating, slide the drawer back in, and no one will have to look at those dishes (or step in them) throughout the day.

Several manufacturers are doing cabinets like these, so just ask your designer to hook you up when you start planning for your kitchen remodel.
