Nano O2 Air Purifier
I’ve had trouble with asthma and allergies for years, so of course I have an air purifier. I mostly use it in the bedroom, keeping it on when I sleep at night. It’s one of those HEPA units with a fan (read: noisy fan) and two separate filters that need to be replaced periodically (usually at different times). I can handle the filters, but I do wish the fan was quieter, especially at night.
So, anyway, I’ve been eyeballing other types of air purifiers for some time. I almost got one of those ionic breeze units, but I read in a couple of reviews that the ozone emission or something in their makeup can give people headaches.
When someone asked me to write a blurb about the Nano O2 UV air purifier, I was interested in checking it out since it doesn’t use filters or emit ozone. It uses UV with “advanced nano technology” to clean the air in your home. Unlike my current unit, it doesn’t need filters (which are a pain since they need to be monitored and changed monthly), and it doesn’t even need to be cleaned.
As with other types of air purifiers, it kills molds and spores (it does this by oxidizing the contaminants in the air). It also handles bacteria and allergens (which are often an instigating factor in asthma).
If you’re interested in a new air purifier, but you’re not 100% sure, the company offers an in-home trial for $1. The Nano O2 also comes with a free home air test kit. That way you can test your air before and after using the system to see the difference.
The Nano O2 comes in three sizes and can handle up to 4,000 square feet of living space. The air purifiers are available in two sleek finishes, which are made from “indestructible U.S. grade 60/61 Aluminum.” The housings come with a lifetime replacement guarantee. I may just have to order one myself!
