Luxury Swimming Pool Features Built-in Bar

Now that it’s July and hot out, I’m looking with envy at the homeowners who have swimming pools in their backyards. A lot of these folks love to entertain, and they’ve got pool houses, outdoor kitchens, and rolling bar trolleys. You could take that a step further by serving drinks right in the pool itself: try a bar built into the pool.

I’ve personally only seen this at a hotel where I stayed in Cancun, but it sure was nice being able to swim up to the bar, get a pina colada, then float around the pool while sipping it. If you love to entertain, and you’ve been thinking about adding a swimming pool to your yard, this actually isn’t as expensive of an add-on as you might think. Sure, you have to run electricity to the bar (gotta power the fridge and the blender, after all), but you’d be running lines to power pools lights and circulating equipment anyway.

If a bar in your swimming pool sounds like a dream come true, talk to the designer about sketching it in.
