How to Paint Brick or Stucco
23 July 2007
If you’re thinking of painting brick or stucco, here are a few tips on how to do it from Home Improvement for Dummies:
“You can paint brick, stucco, and the concrete foundation of a house with exterior flat latex paint. First, power wash the masonry surface to remove accumulated grime. Use a spray, long-nap roller, or rough-surface paint pad… to paint a masonry surface.”
The book goes on to remind you to “think before you tamper with unpainted brick. Removing paint from brick or other masonry surfaces is nearly impossible. If you decide to take the plunge, use a flat latex house paint to cover the brick.”
