Looking for a way to make espresso every morning from your own kitchen? There are quite a few home machines on the market. The 9-inch Nespresso le Cube C180 has a compact modern look.

It uses premeasured pods (so no more spilling coffee grounds all over the counter when you’re barely awake yet) and the 1260-watt cube is supposed to have the highest pressure you can get in a home machine. It “makes excellent espresso with that velvety crema on top.” Just program in the quantity of coffee you want to make. Side storage can hold six espresso cups.

The price runs $299, which includes 12 starter pods.
