Keyless Locking Mailbox Keeps Mail Secure
A secure mailbox can be a great idea for fighting identity theft, or just feeling safer about putting checks out in the mail, but do you really need another key cluttering up your keychain? If you want security, and to be able to check your box without finding your keys, then this keyless “secure mail vault” may be a solution.
It has an angled slot to allow mail in (packages up to 1 3/4-inches thick) while keeping unauthorized hands out. It’s supposed to be tough enough to withstand “vandalism, tampering, weather and even your occasional baseball bat.” The mailbox is high tech, too, with sensor-controlled green and red LED lights to let you know when mail has arrived and let carriers know when there’s some to go out.
In case you’re wondering how the keyless part works, the box has a touchpad, and you program in a 4-digit combination, such as your ATM card uses.
Available in black or white for $299, the mailbox can be purchased from the Medford Mailbox Shop.
