Built-in Entertainment Center Saves Space

Lindsay ~ 10 May 2007

Whether you have a flat screen television or an old boob tube, it takes up space. And then there are all the electronic boxes, from game systems to TiVos and DVD players, that go along with the TV. They also take up space. Lots of furniture stores offer entertainment centers to give you a place to put all this stuff, but, yes, those take up space too. Are there any non-space-hogging solutions?

Well, you can get built-ins. The entertainment center shown here was designed by a cabinet company, and it’s built right into the wall, so that it’s flush. Whether or not you can do this is going to depend on the depth of the wall or what closet behind it you might be willing to sacrifice, but it’s certainly an attractive and efficient way to store your television and electronics if you can make it work.
