Remote Control Curtains–Never Get Off the Couch Again

Lindsay ~ 17 April 2007

Remote control for the television? Check? The DVD player, TiVo, stereo, gas fireplace, ceiling fan? Check, check, check, double check. Curtains? Er…

If you can’t get enough remote control technology in your life, and you hate getting up off the couch to adjust the curtains when the sun is glinting on the television, than this gizmo is for you. This 20-foot motorized drapery control from Smarthome lets you open and close your curtains (up to 100 pounds worth) at the press of a button. Use it on your living room curtains or perhaps to control the heavy light-blocking draperies down in your home theater.

The control system is $480 (hey, you didn’t think remote control curtains would be cheaply, did you?) and comes with the center-opening curtain rod that allows access from across the room, a four-piece hinged track, all the mounting software you need, and of course the infrared remote.

I have a remote control curtain system CL810T, but my remote no longer works. Can I replace the remote?
